CCS1 to Tesla Adapter for Model 3/Y/S/X
If your Tesla vehicle is too old, we do not recommend using the CCS1 TO TESLA adapter to charge your Tesla vehicle. Some Tesla models require an ECU upgrade to enable use with the CCS1 charging station: Model 3/Y built before 06/2020 and between 06/2021-09/2021; Model S/X built before 02/2020. Note that if your vehicle is not equipped with a motorized charge port door, you may need to push the charge port door closed.
Why does my CCS to Tesla adapter not work? In general, the CCS adapter does not work mainly due to the following reasons:

Tesla vehicles do not support the CCS adapter. Solution: Verify the compatibility via: Controls > Software > Additional Vehicle Information > CCS Adapter Support: Enabled. Model without CCS1 function please go to Tesla to do ECU retrofit and upgrade to the latest system.

The operating system of Tesla vehicles is not up to date. Solution: Please visit a Tesla service center to check if your vehicle's operating system is the latest. If not, upgrade to the latest Tesla operating system and then try charging with the CCS adapter.

Some third-party DC charging stations do not support charging with the CCS adapter. Solution: Please try two or three different third-party DC charging stations.

Adapter issues. Solution: If you have tried the above three methods and the problem of the CCS adapter not working persists, it's an adapter problem.
